Kabul in spring

Kabul has been fairly peaceful this spring, very calm; there really haven't been very many car bombings, certainly not the level the Taliban had promised/threatened. Kind of nice, really.

Now if it just wasn't so damn dusty...

Recently, I was fortunate...

...enough to have a chance to visit the Mike Spann Memorial in Fort Kala Jangi where he was killed outside of Mezar-E-Sharif (Mezar-I-Sharif). Unfortunately, I can't put all my photos here--no faces--but I can post a few.
